• Is Jiu-Jitsu for me? Yes! We have students of all ages, shapes and sizes, from couch potatoes to seasoned athletes. No experience is necessary. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment where everyone can learn. We encourage everyone to give the gentle art a try - the first week is free!


  • I am new to Jiu-Jitsu - what class should I go to? Whether you are new to jiu-jitsu or to martial arts all together, we recommend attending one of our fundamentals classes. The schedule is available here.


  • What do I need to wear for my first class? If you are new to jiu-jitsu, please wear light, comfortable clothing. We will loan you a gi for your first class.


  • Do I need to sign up prior to coming? We don't require reservations. If you have never been to our studio, please come 10-15 min prior to class to sign a waiver and get familiarized with the space. Ask for Mike or Jeff.


  • Do I need to sign a contract to train? No, we do not require a contract. We want you to train because you like to, not because you have to!


  • How many people are in a class? Class size varies by time of day, week and even year, but we typically don't have more than 15 people in our adult classes or 10 in our kids' classes. Our instructors and upper belts all strive to ensure that everyone gets the level of attention and instruction that they need. 


  • I am a white/blue/purple/brown/black belt from out of town. Can I come train? We would welcome it! Drop in fees are $15 per class, and all of our classes are open to visitors. We have loaner gis for those who don't want to lug theirs along during their travels. 


  • Is there an enrollment period? No, we welcome signups at anytime.


  • Do you have a shower/bathroom facilities? Yes we do. We encourage bringing your own towel. 


  • Is there somewhere for me to watch while my child/friend/parent takes class? Yes, we have plenty of seating.
